How to take part

If you would like to give a presentation, host a discussion, demo something or give a lighting talk (has to be under 10 minutes) then there are three ways of doing it.

1. Post it onto our forums here

2. Email us and let us know and we can add it. Email digital.manager@soundandmusic.org with your proposal.

3. Turn up on the day and see if there is a space left (not recommended)

The kinds of things you'll see

We have a creative workshop called Positive Soundscaping with Max Dixon, Martyn Ware (Heaven 17), Hans Peter Kuhn and Bill Davies. We will have a discussion with Christina Kubisch, hosted by Robert Worby, a Monome workshop/discussion, Andi Studer from Netaudio, Sound in Context film, Mike Blow, Gareth Goodison and Mark Peter Wright, plus talks from key artists from the festival such as Ryan Jordan and Tom Betts (Nullpointer)

There are three main spaces used on the day:

G05 (main space) 50-60 theatre style

G06 (side room) 30 classroom style

G07 (boardroom) 20 boardroom/classroom style

There will be AV (projectors/DVDs/Sound/Whiteboards) in each room. The main space will be partially programmed and all other rooms will be free throughout the day.

Registration, Introduction and Final Scheduling / 10:30

Session 1 / 11:00 - 12:00

Session 2: / 12:00 - 13:00

Lunch / 13:00 - 13:45

Session 3 / 14:00 - 15:00

Session 4 / 15:00 - 15:45

Session 5 / 15:45 - 16:30

Please note that these session can be split into half hour blocks too
